DICKINSON — The Stickney Auditorium at Dickinson State University will host the 2020-2021 Dickinson Area Concert Association's annual event series, and will feature two forthcoming acts that aim to entertain and delight area residents with music and magic.

The name Sherlock is synonymous with mystery, and Jared Sherlock will bring that mystery on Sunday, March 27, 2022, at 7:30 p.m., to Dickinson through his award-winning entertainment as an illusionist and magician.

Baffling audiences with his sleights of hand, feats of legerdemain, delightful juggling and friendly dose of clean comedy, area children may even be called upon to “assist” in one of his tricks.

Sherlock’s modern magic and clean-comedy has been sought after for corporate events, theaters, colleges and fairs nationwide. Along with two assistants, Sherlock will perform several magic tricks as well as large scale illusions in an entertainingly funny and interactive approach that audiences love.

A family show welcoming all ages, children ages 12 and under will be admitted free of charge, while students 13 to 18 will be charged $10, and adult non-members will be charged $30.

The vocal group are known for varying their performances through acapella, piano accompaniment and some orchestral tracks.

The combination of these talents will be showcased by a program called Decades, including a few beloved hymns and patriotic standards intermingled with hits from the 20s through today.

"These 5 strong voices blend beautifully to present such favorites as Stardust, Over the Rainbow, Phantom of the Opera, as well as recognizable favorites from Simon and Garfunkel to the band Chicago," Carma Gerbig, Dickinson Area Concert Association spokesperson, said. "It is a varied and marvelous program."
