Residents of all ages and skill levels are invited to lace up their skates and join local law enforcement officers for a free evening of ice skating, food and drinks
DICKINSON — The West River Ice Center will host a New Year’s Eve skating party from 1 to 4 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 31.
This Halloween season Western Edge residents will come together in continuation of an annual traditions of trunk-or-treating, ice skating, haunted houses and more.
Many exciting fall activities and events will be on offer at WRCC by Dickinson Parks & Recreation.

“It’s very special for those children to be standing on the stage and have all those people supporting them. To me, that’s the coolest part of the whole event is when they’re up there and they’re looking out, knowing that they have the support from an entire community," Dickinson Noon Lions President Kelly Braun said.
The Pit Strength & Fitness will host the United States Powerlifting Association's King of the North competitions on the weekend of March 26 and 27 at the West River Ice Center.
"We need more of these events," Kassie Machovsky said.
“I hope to see an event that's full of people that are enjoying themselves and bring their family out and (are) having a good time. I hope to see our area wish children — both past and present — to be smiling and knowing that the community is there for them,” Dickinson Noon Lions President Kelly Braun said.
The non-profit group out of Minot gives youth and adults with disabilities the opportunity to enjoy recreational activities.
The Dickinson girls hockey team played their third home game of the season against the Grand Forks Knight Riders Friday night at the West River Ice Center. After a well-fought first period, it would become an unsightly affair with Knight Riders scoring four unanswered goals to make the final score 4-0.

The Dickinson Noon Lions hosted its annual Make-A-Wish North Dakota Benefit this past weekend, and revealed a boy’s wish that will soon come true.
Children are often told not to touch expensive items, however, owners Tim Seiler and Susie Lefor of Infinity Real Estate Group are putting the rule aside just in time for Dickinson’s inaugural Touch-a-Truck taking place on May 15, from 11 a.m. and running until 4 p.m.
