During a bimonthly meeting Tuesday, the Dickinson City Commission discussed a public library expansion project, the creation of an official city seal and passed a proclamation in observance of National Poppy Day.
Lorenzo Pemberton, 28, was resentenced for attempted murder after agreeing to a plea deal at the Stark County Courthouse Tuesday. The initial charge was vacated by the state's highest court, due to an error in the jury instructions.

Dickinson Police are actively looking for Jorge Villazana, 32, in connection with this shooting. Villazana is a Hispanic male who's approximately 6 feet, 3 inches tall. He has distinct neck tattoos. Though his current whereabouts are unknown as of 4:30 p.m. Thursday at the time of this press release, Villazana has ties to Dickinson and Killdeer.
The Dickinson Police Department is getting ready to host the Northwestern School of Police Staff and Command course this summer at Dickinson State University. We spoke with Dickinson Police Lt. Kylan Klauzer to learn more about this course as it will also bring together 11 different law enforcement agencies across the state and three outside of North Dakota to Dickinson.

Matthew J. Kostelecky, 38, was arrested Tuesday on charges of terrorizing a family member, and fleeing law enforcement.

Dickinson Police Chief Dustin Dassinger will serve as interim city administrator for the City of Dickinson as they look to hire a new city administrator in the coming months. We spoke with Dassinger on how his previous experience has prepared him for this position.
"We need more of these events," Kassie Machovsky said.
“We’re hopeful that we’ll get a splash or that last surge where people want to grab a ticket before it (happens). It should be exciting, though. It’s going to be a packed house,” Dickinson Police Lt. Kylan Klauzer said.
