The Dickinson high school girls golf tournament hosted a tournament at Heart River golf course on Monday, August 19.

The team totaled a team score of 429 and finished eighth overall in the tournament.

Lola Homiston led Dickinson with a round of 94. She carded a 46 on the front followed by a 49 on the back.

Shelby Steier shot 49-50 to finish under 100 with a 99.

Hazel Emter put together a 115 for the Midgets with a 65-50 that equaled 115.

Jordan Harris totaled a 119 with a 56-63.

To round out the scoring for Dickinson, Abby Goettle and Avery Belland shot nearly identical rounds. They both shot 63 on the front nine, while Belland shot one better on the back with a 66. Belland’s round finished with a 129, while Goettle shot 130.

Century high school won the tournament with a team score of 330. They were led by low rounds of 76 and 78.

Carrie Carmichael, from Williston, was the low medalist for the tournament with a 73.

Following the tournament on Monday, Dickinson traveled to Mandan at Prairie West golf course on Tuesday for another tournament.

“Prairie West was a great course,” Dickinson head coach John Spry said. “The greens were super fast. The speed of the greens took some time to adjust to (for our girls).

Homiston matched her Monday score with another 94, and once again she was the low score for Dickinson.

Steier totaled a 101 with a 49-52, while Emter shot 56 on both sides to card a 112.

Belland finished with a 118 to total a 425 team score for the Midgets.

Hannah Herbal of Century was the low medalist for the tournament. She shot a 74, and Century won the tournament with a team score of 320.
