The Dickinson State wrestling team battled a strong opponent, Wednesday. But was unable to come away with the victory, falling on the road to the Northern State University.

The team recorded three victories in its dual against the Wolves, but was ultimately unable to grasp the win.

“We wrestled better tonight against Northern State than last night against Jamestown, even though the team score shows differently,” wrote head coach Justin Schlecht wrote in a text to The Dickinson Press. “But Northern state is a very talented team. We did a better job of being aggressive and offensive tonight. And had a couple matches that we were in the fight against them. Now some rest and adjustments before the last home dual Tuesday.”

Dante Venema lost in the 125 weight class, Gresh Jones won the 133 weight class. Jamie Mullins won the 141 weight class. The 149 was open/forfeited. Jacob Berg lost at 157, Tate Norby lost at 165, Kon Speelmon won at 174. Kyle Anderson lost at 184. Payson Dirk lost at 197 and Ethan Goss-Dickie won at 285 to close the night.

The Blue Hawks compete against Minot State University in their final home dual of the regular season on Tuesday, Feb. 11.
