Southwestern District Health Unit is collaborating with emergency management services, the North Dakota National Guard and local community entities to host drive-thru COVID-19 testing events. The following events are free and open to anyone ages 12 and up: Thurs. May 28 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. at Beach High School; Fri. May 29 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the RZ Motor Car Wash in Hettinger; and Sat. May 30 from 9 a.m. to noon. at the north court house parking lot in Mott.

The tests at these events are not to determine whether or not a person has been infected in the prior (the antibody test) but rather if a person is currently infected.

Organizers of the event request that although businesses and residences in the area will still be accessible, the public avoid the area if possible to ease the flow of traffic.

Those who wish to be tested are encouraged to use a screening tool prior to check their symptoms and pre-register for testing, although it is not mandatory to be tested, and pre-registering does not guarantee a test.
