CALL FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that the Dunn County Board of County Commissioners will receive and open sealed bids for scoria, gravel and water hauling, rental of road construction and snow removal equipment, fencing, and seeding/erosion control for the 2023 construction season. Bids will be opened on Wednesday, February 15th, 2023, at 9:30 a.m. MST with the Board reserving the right to accept or reject any or all bids. Bids for gravel and scoria hauling must specify the price per hour. Bids for rental of road building equipment must specify price per yard for common excavation and an hourly rate for all dirt moving equipment. Bids for rental of all other road building equipment and snow removal equipment must specify price per hour. The following items shall be furnished by the bidder and included as a single total bid for the units offered for rental: fuel, oil, repairs, permits, service units, and operator. Bids must be accompanied by the following: Affidavit of Insurance coverage for General Liability of Bodily Injury and Property Damage having a combined total of $1,000,000 minimum and a copy of your current Contractors License or Certificate of Renewal. The envelope containing the bids must be marked on the outside with what kind of bid. Any bid received without the proper Affidavit of Insurance, and a current copy of Contractors License or Certificate of Renewal, or is unsigned will be rejected. Bids received by the Board will be considered when awarding county projects which do not exceed the maximum dollar amount as provided by law. ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS Notice is hereby given that sealed bids for gravel/scoria crushing and stockpiling will be received by Dunn County Board of County Commissioners at the County Commission Room in the County Courthouse until 9:30 A.M. (MST) February 15th, 2023, at which time the said board will publicly open and consider the bids thereof received. The scope and general nature of the work consists of furnishing all labor, equipment, materials and performing all work necessary for: A minimum of 80,000 C.Y. of gravel/scoria crushing and stockpiling as Determined by Dunn County. Plans and specifications are on file at the office of the County Highway Department, 300 Central Ave S, Killdeer, North Dakota 58640 between the hours of 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Dunn County reserves the right to hold all bids 30 DAYS after the date set for the opening thereof and reject any or all bids and waiver defects. All bids shall be accompanied by a separate envelope containing a bidder’s bond or certified check in the amount of 5% of the total bid, payable to Dunn County as liquidated damages in accordance with Section NDCC 11-11-28. The bidder’s envelope shall be clearly marked to identify it as a sealed bid for; Gravel/Scoria Crushing and Stockpiling. All bids shall be accompanied by a copy of the contractor’s license, in effect at least ten days prior to the date set for receiving bids, in a separate envelope with the bidder’s bond in accordance with NDCC 43-07-12. NOTICE FOR SEALED BIDS MAGNESIUM/CALCIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION The Board of County Commissioners of Dunn County, North Dakota, will receive sealed bids at the County Auditor’s office, 205 Owens St, Manning, North Dakota 58642, until the hour of 9:30 AM MST, February 15th, 2023, for furnishing said County with magnesium chloride 30% and calcium chloride 38 % for use in the 2023 road stabilization program. Successful bid prices will be for a period of one year or until new bids are accepted. Bids will be submitted on the specification form furnished by the Auditor’s Office. A certified check in the amount of $500.00(five hundred) dollars in a separate envelope must accompany each bid. Please specify “Magnesium Chloride/Calcium Chloride Bids” on the envelope.
