Stark County Tax Assessor presentation of Taxable Valuation for 2020-
The following totals were arrived at by reviewing current sales and market trends in Stark County, but even more so in the small cities within the county.
The City of Belfield went through a full reappraisal for 2020. This has not been done since 2010 and there were a lot of changes. Some may have had building permits, and some didn't. There were several houses that we had a vacant with a very low value on and they have been completely remodeled and people are living in them and have been for year. All Obsolescence was removed on all Commercial properties in all the small cities.
The City of Belfield has 12 Homestead Credits and 6 Veteran Credits that have applied in 2020. If you know anyone 65 or older or permanently disabled and on a very limited income, please let them know about the Homestead Credit. Veterans that are 50% or more service connected should go visit with Jessica in the Stark County VA office 701-456-7640 and she can get them what they need to apply for the Veterans Exemption.
