Dunn Center City Council Meeting Thursday April 13, 2023, Mayor Larry Pavlenko called the meeting to order. The members present for roll call were Shasta Blackford, Larry Kittilson, and Colton Medley. Also present were Kacie Moline, Leo Piatz, James Connolly, and Dolan Dyke. Shasta Blackford motioned to set and approve the agenda/consent agenda with the addition to new business adding Fourth of July. Larry Kittilson 2nd. All Ayes. M/C Mayor Larry Pavlenko called the Board Of Equalization to order. Board Of Equalization: Nichole Carlson gave the report for the Dunn Center 2023 value changes. Shasta Blackford motioned to approve the 2023 tax values. Larry Kittilson 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Mayor Larry Pavlenko called the regular Dunn Center City Council Meeting back to order. Larry Kittilson motioned to approve the March 2023 minutes. Shasta Blackford 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Larry Kittilson motioned to approve the March 2023 financial reports. Shasta Blackford 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Shasta Blackford motioned to approve the March 2023 monthly bills. Larry Kittilson 2nd. All Ayes M/c New Business: Greg Hals gave the city auditor his resignation from city council on March 31, 2023. Shasta Blackford accepted his resignation. Larry Kittilson 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Shasta Blackford motioned to bring in two roll offs for our annual spring cleanup. They will be placed up by the church and will be here until June 1st. Colton Medley 2nd. All Ayes. M/c The City Council discussed the 4th of July Celebration. Shasta Blackford motioned to approve the purchase of $5,000 of fireworks, salads from Kyleen Dressler, chicken from Western Choice, burgers, and brats from DC Pub & Grub. This year’s parade, potluck and firework show will be held Saturday July 1st. Larry Kittilson 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Engineer Report: Larry Kittilson approves to make the final payment to KLE Contacting in the sum of $53,707.06. Shasta Blackford 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Maintenance: Larry Kittilson and Kacie Moline gave their recommendation for hiring Greg Hals as Head of Maintenance. Shasta Blackford motioned to hire Greg Hals as a full-time employee starting at $30 an hour with a 90-day probation period with a start date of May 1, 2023. Larry Kittilson 2nd. All Ayes. M/c Mayor Larry Pavlenko Adjourned the meeting. Next City Council Meeting is May 11, 2023, at 6pm. These minutes may be published subject to the governing bodies review and revision.
