Notice of public meeting Abandoned Mine

NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING The Abandoned Mine Lands Division (AML) of the North Dakota Public Service Commission will hold a public meeting on April 4 at 1:30 pm (MST) at the Commission Room located in the Stark County Court House, 51 3rd St. E, Dickinson, North Dakota 58601. The AML Division is seeking input on a 2023 proposed exploratory drilling project along Lehigh Drive and Lehigh Road (about 3 miles southeast of Dickinson ND) located within Stark County. The proposed project will locate and characterize underground mine workings southeast of Dickinson ND. This is a continuation of previous investigative drilling projects. Anyone interested in this project or with information or concerns about any abandoned coal mine in the area is encouraged to attend this open forum. A brief summary of current and past projects will also be presented.
