The special meeting - Board Retreat of the South Heart School Board was called to order in elementary gymnasium by President Kudrna at 7:10 PM. Jacobson late (7:13), all other members present. Others present: Supt. Dean, Principal Geis, Principal Jung (via phone), Activities Director, Ronnie Stewart, Business Manager, Kristine Mehrer. Guests: NDSBA Executive Director, Alexis Baxley, Joshua Tormaschy, Bryce Wigert.
Alexis Baxley reviewed the roles of school board members in relation to general administration, policy, meetings, personnel, and community relations. She explained proper chain of command as well as reviewed ethics for school board members.
Kubas moved, second by Jacobson to adjourn at 9:13 PM. All in favor; motion carried.
