NEW TOWN -- Officials from the 4 Bears Casino & Lodge in New Town on the Fort Berthold Indian Reservation in western North Dakota have announced the first entertainment act at the new $47 million, 4,000-seat Event Center will be country superstar Toby Keith.

Keith  will perform on Friday, Aug. 19, as part of his current Interstates & Tailgates tour.

Tickets sales for this grand opening concert will begin at midnight on Friday, June 24, for the general public.

This performance will mark the second time Keith has been the opening act for 4 Bears as he performed at the grand opening of the  smaller 2,300-seat Event Center in 2000.

The 85,000 square-foot center will now be able to facilitate larger entertainment productions, with plans to host trade shows, rodeos, pow-wows, motorsports, sporting events and theatrical productions. 4 Bears previous Event Center was refurbished into a 400-seat ballroom and expanded the casino’s gaming floor.
