String of vandalism strikes Dickinson, police seek identity of perpetrator

MathCounts winners named

Six schools in Stark County  participated in the Stark County MathCounts competition held Feb. 8. Dickinson Middle School, coached by  Alyssa Jacobson, took first place in the team competition and South Heart, coached by Paula Lengowski, took second.

Chris Fleig, a student at  Dickinson Middle School, took home four awards: Seventh grader highest score; highest individual score from Dickinson Middle School; first place individual all-around; and first place in the countdown round.

The runner up seventh-grade highest score went to Tyler Maszk from Dickinson Middle School.

Second place individual individual all around was Ian Graves from Dickinson Middle School.

Second place countdown round was Tyler Maszk from Dickinson Middle School.

The Dickinson Middle School official team advanced to the state competition. Members of the team are: Grant Bittner, Alan Ash, Ian Graves and Gus Zettel.

Individuals that are not on the team that advanced to state competition are:

V Tyler Maszk, Dickinson Middle School.

V Jaydon Haverluk,  South Heart.

V Aiden Haich, Trinity.
