Expo is all about babies

The fourth annual Badlands Baby Fair and Expo will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.  Saturday, April 21, at the Astoria Hotel & Event Center. The expo is a free community event to advocate natural parenting strategies and to showcase community services available for pregnancy through preschool.

The fastest crawler west of the Mississippi River wins a first birthday “Smash Bash” package. Register at and check in at 1:45 p.m.  Participation is limited to the first 24 registrants.  Guests from Dickinson Roller Derby will help referee the derby.

The expo is an opportunity for young families to celebrate Earth Day, and to meet other families with children. The first 250 guests will receive a reusable tote bag with gifts & offers. Door prizes will be drawn at the end of the day. Activities include micro mini photography sessions with k.bothum photography, a mother's lounge with recliners courtesy of Furniture City, a babywearing demonstration, bounce house courtesy of Bounce Right Rentals, a car seat safety check up, concessions courtesy of Little Links, selfie station photos with the Badlands Baby Fair Stork #BBFspecialdelivery.
