Exhibit of poetry-visual artwork set at Medora
New to the Dakota County Poetry Gathering this year is an exhibit titled “Poet-Painter-Poet-Project,” featuring the juxtaposition of poetry and visual artwork.
The project may be described as a detailed version of the board game Pictionary and it works like this: An original poem is submitted to a visual artist for a rendering. Next, two poets independently interpret the newly created artwork back into verse.
This exhibit features the work of 10 visual artists and 30 poems collected from across the United States and Canada. The participating artists and poets are:

The exhibit will be available for viewing at the North Dakota Cowboy Hall of Fame after June 15.
