Donna Wahl recently retired From Elder Care after 16 years of service to the organization. Wahl held many positions in the office with her most recent being an administrative assistant to Colleen Rodakowski, Elder Care's executive director. Wahl was instrumental in leading changes in software used to track Elder Care meals provided through the Older Americans Act under a contract with the Department of Human Services -- Aging Services.
In addition to providing support to the executive director, management team, Elder Care Management Board, and overall office staff, Wahl delivered meals, dispatched for Public Transit, and was the Designated Employee Rep that implemented the drug and alcohol program. Wahl was the "go to" person in the office with her knowledge of the program after so many years of service.
Wahl was recognized at Elder Care's yearly Kitchen Staff Meeting and at Elder Care's Holiday Party. Rodakowski notes that you dont often see Wahl's type of commitment and dedication to a company.
While reminiscing, Wahl shared, "A lot has happened during my time with Elder Care. We moved three times, our new office at the Public Transit building was constructed, and there have been many changes with the state throughout the years."
While Wahl will be greatly missed, Rodakowski said, "We are very excited that Wahl is starting a new chapter in her life...retirement! Our deepest appreciation is extended to Donna for all she has done for Elder Care. We wish her the very best that retirement has to offer!"
