MINTO (AP) -- Authorities say a 42-year-old man has died in a snowmobile accident between Forest River and Minto.
The North Dakota Highway Patrol says the accident happened about 1:40 a.m. Saturday. The patrol says the man was thrown from the snowmobile. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
The name of the victim has not been released.
Authorities say alcohol was involved in the crash. The patrol says the victim was one of four snowmobilers riding on a groomed trail between Forest River and Minto. The accident happened at a point where the trail crossed over a Walsh County gravel road.
The patrol says the victim sustained injuries, although he was wearing a helmet.
