Beck named executive VP of American Bank Center

American Bank Center announced the hiring of Ryan Beck as its executive vice president.

This is a new position responsible for the overall implementation and management of the bank’s objectives, policies and strategic plans to achieve growth, profit and operational efficiencies.

Beck worked for American Bank Center for 15 years as a business banking officer and supervisor. He left in early 2013 for the position of business manager of a heavy highway construction company based out of Dickinson.

He has a bachelor’s degree from Dickinson State University. He is also a graduate of the Dakota School of Banking and the Graduate School of Banking in Madison, Wis. Beck began his new duties Monday and will be based in Dickinson.

Kelley joins AE2S

Advanced Engineering and Environmental Services, Inc. has hired Todd Kelley as a project manager in the firm’s Watford City office.

He is part of AE2S’ civil engineering division and is helping coordinate, manage and inspect several municipal water projects in Watford City.

Kelley has more than 17 years of civil engineering and project management experience. Before joining AE2S, he was municipal department manager at GDA Engineers in Cody, Wyo., where he supervised municipal and civil engineering projects and led business development and marketing efforts. He has also worked for consulting firms in Williston and Nevada.

Kelley holds a professional engineering license in North Dakota, Wyoming, Utah and Arizona.

Originally from Shelley, Idaho, Kelley holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah.

Nelson receives Golden Apple Award from NDAESP

The North Dakota Association of Elementary School Principals has awarded Kris Nelson of Hebron Elementary School with the Golden Apple Award at the their recent awards banquet held at the NDAESP Mid-Winter Conference in Fargo.

Nelson has been at Hebron school for 32 years. She has also been active in the NDAESP by serving as president and was recipient of the Bell Ringer Award.

Dickinson Farmers Union agents make top 5

Farmers Union Insurance based in Jamestown recently announced that Daryl Kudrna and Aaron Johansen of Dickinson were top five producers of health insurance sales for the company during the month of December.

Weiler recognized as 2013 sales leader

Cliff Weiler, a career agent for Nodak Mutual Insurance Company in Dickinson, was recognized as a state sales leader in 2013 during its annual Agents Rally on Feb. 6 in Fargo.

Weiler earned this recognition for his outstanding sales performance for auto and multi peril crop insurance in the state last year.

Business Technology Acceleration Program coming to Bowman

Bowman County Development Corp. is working with Center for Technology and Business to bring the Business Technology Acceleration Program to Bowman County.

The six-month program will focus on technology topics for small businesses including:

-- Online Business Reputation Management, March 27

-- Social Media for Professional Use, April 24

-- Investment in Efficiency Through Mobile Apps, May 22

-- Wordpress Blogging and Website Presence, June 26

-- Virtual IT and Cloud Usage, July 24

-- Mobile POS Systems and Accepting Electronic Payments, Aug. 28

Throughout the program, participants will hear from top business and technology experts that will guide and challenge participants to take the next steps in developing strategic solutions for business growth through accelerated technology training. Participants will benefit from personalized attention and individual business analysis as well as group exercises and trainings.

The program is made possible through a USDA Rural Business Opportunity Grant (RBOG), which focuses on business expansion and job creation.

All sessions will be held from 9 a.m. until noon at the Bowman Public Library and are limited to the first 12 registrants. There will also be great door prizes provided by Microsoft at each session so anyone interested should register early at or call 701-223-0707. There is a $10 non-refundable registration fee per workshop.

New AmeriPride sales consultant brings safety expertise to oil customers in western ND

AmeriPride Services Inc., a supplier of industrial uniform services in North Dakota, announced the appointment of Glen Bosch as full-time sales consultant, specializing in the rental and servicing of flame-resistant apparel for AmeriPride’s oil customers in the Bakken. Bosch’s passion for customer service and unique background in sales and management will benefit a growing number of customers who need to protect their employees and comply with government regulations.

Bosch joined AmeriPride as a production specialist in 2010, where he learned the company’s products, system and culture. He moved into a part-time sales position in 2012 and took a full time sales position in 2013.

Prior to AmeriPride, Glen spent more than 25 years at Coca-Cola, where he held various positions in sales, marketing and management, and four years at Walmart in various management roles. Glen is a Bismarck native, and still lives in the area with his wife Nikki and their two children.

AmeriPride has been serving the Bismarck, Minot, Dickinson, Glendive, Mont. and Williston communities for more than 80 years and provides rental and cleaning of uniforms and safety apparel for oil and gas and other industries. The Bismarck processing plant recently added 9,000 square feet to its footprint and is planning for future expansion. AmeriPride also recently opened a safety apparel store in Williston.
