Former TV reporter joins counties group
Donnell Preskey Hushka has joined the North Dakota Association of Counties as a government relations and public relations specialist.
In Hushka's 17 years as an award-winning broadcast journalist for KX News in western North Dakota, she covered state government and legislative affairs. At NDACo, she will focus on legislative strategy and strengthening media and public relations for counties.
Hushka graduated from the University of Mary with a bachelor's degree in communications. She is a native of Bowbells.
Gold becomes Motor Carrier certified
Maryann Gold, ANP with Great Plains Clinic, PC, recently became a Nationally Certified Medical Examiner with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
Maryann completed the required training and testing concerning the federal physical qualifications and standards for truck and bus drivers and possesses the necessary knowledge and professional credentials to perform physical qualification examinations for commercial motor vehicle drivers in accordance with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations.
DSU student receives national certification
Arthur Nunez, senior at Dickinson State University and business advisor intern for the Small Business Development Center at the Strom Center for Entrepreneurship, has successfully completed the NASBITE Certified Global Business Professional examination. This certification is recognized nationally and confirms knowledge of global commerce and demonstrates understanding of global business, trade, supply chain management and trade finance.

WCCU donates $50K to St. Joes
In 2013, Western Cooperative Credit Union CEO/President Melanie Stillwell, along with Dickinson North Branch Manager Scott Schwindt, Assistant Manager/Human Resources Coordinator Britney Hendricks, CFO Justin Maddison and board member Gina Karsky presented St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center a $50,000 donation. This donation will support their Centennial Campaign, developed in 2012 and completing in 2014. This is a timetable for construction of a new health center and medical office building. Western Cooperative Credit Union supports St. Joseph’s Hospital and Health Center in their efforts to improve the quality of life in Dickinson and the surrounding area.
