Beer and Agriculture have a deep-rooted connection dating back to the dawn of civilization. The earliest confirmed example of that connection comes from the Zagros Mountains of central Iran where fragments of a clay jug, dated from between 5,000 and 5,400 years ago, were scientifically proven to be coated with beerstone, a byproduct of the brewing process.
Since then, beer has remained ingrained in agrarian culture and continues to be one of the chief byproducts of barley, wheat and hops in the United States.
Farm Rescue, a nonprofit organization that provides planting, haying and harvesting assistance free of charge to farm families who have experienced a major illness, injury or natural disaster, has partnered with one of America's best-known brands to raise money and awareness to help North Dakota farmers - Busch Beer.
A member of the Anheuser-Busch family of brands, Busch Beer stated that they will donate $5 for each Twitter post retweet. Farm Rescue is calling on all who support America's farmers to retweet the original Busch Beer Twitter post dated February 14th on the Busch Beer Twitter handle.

"Our partnership with Farm Rescue will help provide critical resources to America's farmers in need and we're proud to be able to do our part to support them."
The North Dakota-based nonprofit provides support in six states throughout the Midwest - North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska and Iowa - and offers assistance throughout its entire service area. It has helped nearly 600 families since it started in 2006.
"Busch Beer and Anheuser-Busch have a long heritage of supporting agricultural communities, and we are thankful for their generosity in furthering our compassionate and patriotic mission," said Bill Gross, president and founder of Farm Rescue. "Please take a few moments to retweet the post so we can maximize this gift to help more farm families stricken by major illness, injury or natural disaster."
The partnership between these two brands could potentially bring much-needed funding to the nonprofit, which in turn will see all proceeds go toward keeping America's farmers farming.
