FARGO -- Gas prices in Fargo and Grand Forks have hit 12-year lows.
The average price of gasoline in Grand Forks was $1.67 per gallon as of mid-Friday, according to a news release from AAA. That's the lowest price since Feb. 18, 2004, when drivers paid the same amount.
On Friday, stations in Fargo were selling gas for $1.53 per gallon, 14 cents less than Grand Forks, according to AAA. The last time prices were that low in Fargo was Jan. 14, 2004, when gasoline sold for $1.52 per gallon.
Both cities fell below the state average of $1.72 and the national average of $1.81.
