Dickinson's Hope Christian Academy is hosting "Discover Christian Schools Week" on Tuesday through Friday, Feb. 20-23.

Parents are invited to observe the classes during the hours of 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on those days.

"This is a great opportunity to check out what Christian education has to offer your child," said Administrator Tim Privratsky.

Brad and Robbyn Hanstad have three children enrolled -- in preschool, third and fifth grades. They have two more children at home.

"We send them because they receive teaching that's consistent with home and church," said Robbyn Hanstad. "We're very pleased with the academic program. It's very challenging. We like the smaller class sizes and we like the fact they receive biblical teachings in every subject."

Sharon and Don Zubke sent three of their four children to Hope Christian, for a total of 20 years. They had similar reasons for seeking a Christian education.

"It's not only strong academics, but they're taught the Bible. There's prayer every day. The Bible also is integrated into different subjects, too. The values the kids learn at home are the same at school and church," said Sharon Zubke.

Tuition aid is available, along with opportunities to make Christian education affordable, said Privratsky.

Hope Christian Academy is located at 2891 Fifth Ave. W.
