An accident involving a 2011 Peterbilt semitrailer driven by 29-year-old Jeremy Anderson of Dickinson and 2010 Kenworth semitrailer driven by 50-year-old Donald Craft of Stanley, occurred approximately six miles north of Killdeer Wednesday morning, according to a North Dakota Highway Patrol press release.
The Kenworth truck was driving south in the northbound lane to avoid snowdrifts and was making its way back to the right lane when a drift caused the truck to jackknife, creating a white-out situation, according to the press release.
The Peterbilt truck collided with the Kenworth on the driver's side due to the low visibility, according to the release.
Both vehicles came to a rest on the northbound shoulder. All occupants were wearing seatbelts, according to the press release. Luke Rodenbiker, 30, of Richardton, was a passenger in the semitrailer driven by Anderson.
NDHP Sgt. Dan Haugen said there were no injuries, but Craft and Rodenbiker were taken to St. Joseph's Hospital and Health Center for observation.
