A small plane crashed on the TPC Scottsdale Champions Golf Course on Monday night, killing all six passengers, police said Tuesday.

Officer Kevin Watts, a Scottsdale Police Department spokesman, said the plane had taken off from the Scottsdale Airport. Information regarding its destination wasn't immediately available.

The identities of those killed in the crash have yet to be released. No one on the ground was injured.

The Champions Course is one of two courses on the property. The other is the Stadium Course, where the Waste Management Phoenix Open takes place in late January/early February.

The National Transportation Safety Board is investigating the cause of the crash, with a report on the potential circumstances expected within two weeks.
