FARGO – A commercial airplane destined for Hector International Airport landed with smoke in the cockpit Monday, July 9.
Shawn Dobberstein, executive director of Fargo’s Municipal Airport Authority, said the 50-seat United Express flight from Denver arrived in Fargo at 1:08 p.m.
Dobberstein said the cause of the smoke is under investigation and so far undetermined.
In a statement, Trans State Airlines said the flight operating as United Express experienced a possible mechanical issue during its final descent.
Despite the smoke, Trans State said the flight landed safely and customers “deplaned normally.”
