SIOUX FALLS, S.D. — Three people killed in a two-vehicle crash Saturday, Aug. 24, a half-mile west of Sioux Falls have been identified by authorities.

Alyssa Skogen, 39, was driving a 2005 Pontiac Vibe eastbound on HIghway 42 shortly before 1 p.m. when it crossed the center line and collided with a 1994 Ford F150 pickup, which caught fire after the crash, the South Dakota Department of Public Safety said.

Skogen died in the crash. Her two male passengers, a 10-year-old boy from Tea and a 5-year-old boy from Sioux Falls, both had serious but not life-threatening injuries.

The pickup driver, Fredrico San Miguel, 44, and passenger, David Kieffer, 57, died at the scene, authorities said.

All three occupants in the Vibe were wearing seat belts. It was unclear if the occupants in the pickup were buckled.

This updated version corrects the name of the pickup driver.
