ABERDEEN, S.D. — A 37-year-old man was killed and a 34-year-old man was injured when their all-terrain vehicle rolled late Sunday night, Sept. 15, about seven miles west of Aberdeen.

The South Dakota Highway Patrol said a 2014 Polaris Ranger 900XP four-wheeler was northbound on 378th Avenue, a gravel road, when the driver lost control turning onto 132nd Street.

The 37-year-old was thrown from the vehicle and pronounced dead at the scene. The other occupant had serious injuries that were not life-threatening. The Highway Patrol said it has yet to determine which man was the driver.

Seat belt use is under investigation.
