KEENE, N.D. — An 88-year-old New Town man driving a 91-year-old truck died Tuesday, Oct. 15, from injuries suffered after his vehicle was rear-ended by a semi truck along Highway 23 about three miles north of Keene.

A 1928 International Harvester and a 2013 Kenworth T800 semi were both eastbound around 2:50 p.m. before the collision. The crash spun the Harvester into the westbound lane and north shoulder, the North Dakota Highway Patrol said.

The semi driver, 58-year-old John E. Augsten of Griffin, Ga., was not injured. He was wearing a seat belt. The Highway Patrol says he may face charges.

The driver of the Harvester was transported to the McKenzie County Hospital in Watford City where he died, the Highway Patrol said.

Keene is about 60 miles southeast of Williston.
