GRAFTON, N.D. — The driver of a Honda Accord died Wednesday, Jan. 13, near Grafton when the vehicle struck a snowplow truck from the North Dakota Department of Transportation.
The driver, who has not yet been identified, struck the truck from behind at about 12:30 p.m. about 20 miles southeast of Grafton. The NDDOT vehicle was pulling a plow trailer to pre-treat roads for icy conditions as it traveled southbound on Interstate 29.
According to a report from the North Dakota Highway Patrol, the plow truck had emergency lights activated. The driver of the Honda suffered fatal injuries from the crash and was taken to Unity Medical Center in Grafton.
The crash remains under investigation.
