COOPERSTOWN, N.D. — The North Dakota Highway Patrol has identified the Minnesota woman who died Friday, Oct. 16, after being hit by a truck in Cooperstown.
Melissa McMahon, 50, of Odessa, Minnesota, was struck shortly after 5 p.m. in a construction zone.
Robert Halvorson, 63, of Summit, South Dakota, the driver of a 1988 Kenworth dump truck, was backing up to pour asphalt on the roadway and struck McMahon, who was assisting, the Highway Patrol said. She died at the scene.
The crash remains under investigation.
