Noise complaint noted on Grey Cloud Channel
Grey Cloud Island Town Board Chair Tom Bell noted at the July meeting that there were several noise complaints from residents.
Apparently there was a boat on the Grey Cloud Channel recently that was traveling at a high rate of speed and had a very loud boat motor.
"You mean the S.S. Root Canal?" said Town Clerk Rich Mullen.

Board Member Dick Adams said he called the Washington County Sheriff's Water Patrol but did not receive a promised phone call.

extended at quarry
Hours of operation will be extended from 10 p.m. to midnight at the Aggregate Industries limestone quarry, according to a motion that passed the Grey Cloud Island Town Board last week.
Board Chair Tom Bell voted against the motion with board members Paul Schoenecker and Dick Adams voting in favor.
"The hours are exceedingly generous where they are," Bell said.
Don Sedgeman, plant manager, said the extended hours would be on a month-to-month basis. If there are resident complaints, extended hours can be ended by a vote of the town board.
