CARSON, Calif. -- Derrick Atkins again gets a shot at Tyson Gay when the world-class sprinters run in the 100-meter dash today at the adidas Track Classic at The Home Depot Center.
The is being broadcast live on ESPN at 2 p.m. The men's 100 is scheduled to run toward the middle of the meet.
Atkins, a former Dickinson State standout, began his march toward the Beijing Olympics with a time of 10.07 seconds at the Brutus Hamilton Memorial meet in Berkeley, Calif.
Atkins took second place in the 100 at the World Championships in Osaka, Japan, last August with a time of 9.91, a Bahamas national record.
