Barbara Jo Lawrence, 73, Mount Vernon, Texas, died at 7:45 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 25, 2008, at the Mission Manor Nursing Home.
Cremation arrangements for Barbara are under the direction of Sam B. Harvey Funeral Home, Mount Vernon, Texas.
Barbara was born in Belfield on Oct. 27, 1934, the daughter of Charles Piotrowski and Josephine Dulctiski Kordonowy.
She married W.H. Lawrence on Oct. 27, 1954, in Wibaux, Mont., and he preceded her in death in 2004.
Barbara was a secretary with the city of Winfield, Texas, and was of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by her daughter, Paula Vickers, Mount Vernon; two sons, Randy Lawrence, Cast, Texas, and Dennis Frappier, Oregon; her mother, Josephine Kordonowy, Dickinson; five sisters, Virginia Polonisik, Brenda Roller, Vicki Schneider, Marge Hoffman, all of Belfield, and Charlene Traus, Hetter; three brothers, Chuck Piotrowski and Larry Piotrowski, Belfield, and Len Piotrowski, Austin, Texas; two grandsons, Stephen Vickers, Mount Vernon, and Weldon Lawrence, Housto.
She was preceded in death by her father, Charles Piotrowski, in 1963; sister, Marie Cerkoney, in 2005; and brothers, John Piotrwoski, in 2007, and Joe Piotrowski in 2003.
