Beach, Glen Ullin airports receive federal grants

North Dakota's Congressional delegation announced six grants worth nearly $1.3 million in airport improvement funding for North Dakota small-town airports on Thursday.

North Dakota’s Congressional delegation announced six grants worth nearly $1.3 million in airport improvement funding for North Dakota small-town airports on Thursday.

Grants were awarded to the Beach Airport and the Glen Ullin Regional Airport, as well as airports in Bottineau, Lakota, Linton and Mohall.

The Beach Airport will receive $244,774 to help it construct a fuel facility to help it become more self-sustaining by generating revenue.

The Glen Ullin Regional Airport will receive $189,000 to rehabilitate its apron and runway, and to replace its existing rotating beacon, tower and electrical service.
