BISMARCK -- Parking rates will be increasing at the Bismarck Airport for the first time in eight years on Jan. 1.
The three lots at the airport accommodate 1,150 vehicles.
The increase, said airport officials, puts the airport into a range comparable with others across the region.
The fees in the short-term lot, closest to the terminal, will be first 20 minutes free, with each additional half-hour increasing from $1 to $1.50.
In the long-term lot, the hourly rate will stay the same at $1, but the daily maximum is increasing from $7 to $8 and the weekly maximum increasing from $35 to $40.
