BISMARCK (AP) -- Bismarck police say four men are suspected of impersonating officers and pulling over another vehicle for a public service message.

Police say the suspects pulled over another car and one of them told the car's occupants: "Don't drink and drive."

Bismarck Police Sgt. Dwight Offerman says police were told the suspects' car looked like a squad car. He said the other car followed it until it got stuck in some mud and four men inside walked away.

Offerman says the case has been turned over to the state's attorney's office for possible charges. He said the four suspects range in age from 21 to 28. They were not arrested.

Offerman says that other than the anti-drunken driving message, alcohol does not appear to have been involved in the incident.
