A small fire broke out in a house on the 1000 block of Meadows Drive on Friday afternoon. First responders said the fire began after an object melted on top of a stove, sparked and burned the cabinets above. Significant damage was done to the cabinets, but was contained before it spread.
Woman arrested for theft
A 56-year-old Dickinson woman was arrested for shoplifting at Walmart on Thursday evening. Police reported an estimated $637 of merchandise was stolen from the store.
