A rail company will host a crude oil training session today in Dickinson, according to a press release.
BNSF Railway will hold the exercise for local emergency responders to prepare for oil-related incidents. The session will be a combination of classroom and hands-on training using a special training tank car, according to the release. The exercise is one of several BNSF is conducting across North Dakota this summer.
BNSF Hazmat professionals have trained more than 700 North Dakota responders in the last two years. The railway company will also be in Mandan, New Rockford, Minot and Trenton this month to conduct similar training sessions.
