Not many people ventured outside their homes Tuesday following Monday night's blizzard and had they, there was no place to go.
Well ... almost no place.
Two businesses on Villard St. in Dickinson, Paragon Bowl/Champs Sports Club and the Spur Bar managed to open for most of the day and were busy Tuesday.
"We were very busy," said Summer Patterson the bar manager at Champs. "There was quite a few people that walked. There weren't that many cars. It didn't look like we were too busy, but we had people bowling, in the lounge. The cafe was full all morning and all night long."
John Mueller, the owner of the Paragon and Champs opened up early Tuesday morning after hitching a ride on a snowmobile.

While they were slightly understaffed with how many people made it in, Patterson said they were patient.
"Everyone was just thankful that they could get something to eat and drink and something to do more or less," Patterson said. "People were pretty generous and waiting and stuff."
Steve Huffman, the owner of the Spur Bar said they to saw a good amount of traffic Tuesday, but he couldn't have opened with out his snow removal crew.
"I'm just fortunate enough I've got a good crew that cleans off my parking lot and people were able to move around," Huffman said.
Anna Taylor, a spokesperson for Wal-Mart, said the decision was made to close the stores doors at 9 a.m. Tuesday in order to look out for the safety of their associates and customers.
"Anytime that we have that type of situation we rely on local authorities to advise us of the best decision," Taylor said.
