After a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer, Carol Jane Erickson, 58, died peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2008, at Evergreen Hospice, Kirkland, Wash.
Cremation has taken place.
Carol's memorial service is at 4 p.m. on Saturday, May 17, 2008, at Hilltop Home of Comfort chapel, Killdeer, with the Rev. Jay Reinke officiating)
Carol was born in Fargo on Dec. 16, 1949.
Carol is an alumnus of Killdeer High School.

She was employed by the Seattle Times for 20 years, and most recently with Xerox/Compass/Microsoft.
She is survived by her mother, V. Sylvia Erickson, Hilltop Home of Comfort, Killdeer; brother, John Erickson, Killdeer; sister, Vickie (Don) Trotter, Grassy Butte; three nephews, Jeffrey Erickson, Lucas and Matt Trotter; many friends; relatives and co-workers, who all remember her for her gentle spirit, open heart and as an inspiring teacher.
She was preceded in death by her father, Carlo Erickson.

A commemorative brick with Carol's name will be placed in the gardens.
