MINOT, N.D. -- Two Minot men have been arrested after a bar fight, with one of the men also accused of fighting with a police officer.
Police were called Saturday about 7:50 p.m. to Dakota Lounge where a fight was under way. When officers arrived, one of the suspects, Eric Connors, 29, attempted to flee on foot and when an officer tried to stop him, they got in a fight. The officer was injured during the fight but used his police dog which allowed him to take Connors into custody. The officer was taken to Trinity Hospital, treated and released for his injuries. Connors was arrested on charges of disobeying a movement control order, preventing arrest and assault on a police officer.
The other man involved in the fight, David Brainard, 25, was arrested for aggravated assault for his part in the bar fight.
Both men were taken to the Ward County Jail.
