Kay and Curtis Haider wanted to bring more clothing options to Dickinson, so they opened My Other Closet in the T-Rex Plaza recently.
"This is her baby though," Curtis said of his wife, Kay. "She wanted to go on her own ... I thought it was great."
The store features a variety of name brand new and slightly used clothes. Kay said many residents drive to other cities to purchase name brand clothes and she thought this would be a good addition to Dickinson.
She purchases clothing online and in the future, may purchase clothing locally, she said.
"I have quite the variety of sizes and styles," Kay said. "When I opened the doors I had over 1,000 shirts."

Every shipment of clothing she gets is different.
"There might be 10 shirts that are the same in there and 90 that are all different," Curtis said.
The clothing styles appeal to teens and adults and plus sizes are available, Kay added.
"It seems like a lot of people are requesting that," she said.
Shirts, sweatshirts, dresses, skirts and shorts are available at My Other Closet.
"I do plan on carrying accessories," Kay added.
She also carries men's name brand clothing.
Curtis said the discounted prices at the store will keep customers coming back.

"My average pair of jeans is between $9.99 and $15.99," Kay said.
Some of her items have their original tags, she added.
The Haiders' family has helped them set up and run the store.
"I couldn't have done this without my husband and my family," Kay said. "They helped so much getting stuff ready and put up with me being gone all the time."
Her son, Deven Turner, helped get the store ready to open and her daughter, Jordyn Ebbole, works at the store.
My Other Closet is located at 1173 Third Ave. W., Suite 26 in the T-Rex Plaza.
