GREAT FALLS, Mont. (AP) -- Authorities have released the name of a 61-year-old Conrad man who died in a motorcycle crash on Rogers Pass on Montana Highway 200 east of Lincoln.
Lewis and Clark County Coroner Mickey Nelson identified the victim Monday as Gary John Wilson.
The Montana Highway Patrol says Wilson was westbound and ascending the pass at about 11:15 a.m. Sunday when he failed to negotiate a sharp left hand turn. The Great Falls Tribune reports the motorcycle drifted into the opposite lane, the driver lost control and was thrown from the bike.
Nelson says Wilson, who died at a Great Falls hospital, was wearing a helmet and neither speed nor alcohol played a role in the crash.
