MINOT, N.D. -- A couple has been arrested for leaving a 5-year-old girl and 3-year-old boy in a vehicle while they were drinking in a Minot bar, police charge.
Arrested were Daniel Dumas, 25, and Chelsea Erie, 22, both of Minot. The children, said police, were left in the car unattended, although the vehicle was running, for more than an hour on Monday night while the couple drank in the Blind Duck bar at 1524 S. Broadway. The police were alerted to the children being left in the vehicle about 10:40 p.m.
The pair was arrested for child neglect and abuse, said police, and were taken to the Ward County Jail.
