MOORHEAD, Minn. - A 16-year-old Moorhead boy on Tuesday was charged with first-degree murder in the death of a 55-year-old man at a trailer park here Sunday.

Clay County prosecutors allege Zachary Daniel St. Claire told police he had been planning to kill victim Brad Carrington, who St. Claire says had been molesting him for the past three to four years.

St. Claire told police he'd been drinking with the victim at Carrington's northside trailer Saturday night and saw an opportunity to kill him, court documents say.

St. Claire also told police he hit and kicked Carrington in the head until he was dead, then fled to his mother's house, washing his bloody clothes and throwing his shoes in the river.

St. Claire is expected to make an initial court appearance at 11 a.m. today. It has yet to be determined whether he will be tried as an adult.

Police continue to look for a second suspect, Anthony Lee Rodriguez. His Dodge Stratus was located at 8 p.m. Monday night with the vehicle's wide tires replaced with standard tires in the 1500 block of Seventh Avenue North in Fargo.

Anyone that believes they have information that may lead to the apprehension of Rodriguez is reminded to contact their local law enforcement agency without making personal contact.
