Blotter: 2 bikes, valued at $7,000 each, reported missing

Police lights

• A 19-year-old Dickinson woman was arrested for disorderly conduct and ingesting a controlled substance after fighting her brother on the 600 block of 29th Street West on Friday. She was also arrested on a Dickinson city warrant.

• A bike valued at $100 was reported missing from a home on the 600 block of Park Street on Friday. There are no suspects.

• Stockman's Livestock East reported $500 worth of graffiti that was painted on a fence on Saturday. There are no suspects. The Stark County Sheriff's Office responded to the call.

• A 41-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for simple assault-domestic violence after he allegedly struck the reporting party and held her down. She had multiple cuts and a handprint on her face.

• Two Trek bikes, valued at $7,000 each, were reported stolen on Saturday. The people provided officers with serial numbers for the bikes. There are no suspects.

• A 40-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for driving under the influence on the 800 block of Main Street South around 7:20 p.m. on Saturday.

• A 75-year-old Dickinson woman was found deceased in her residence on the 500 block of 23rd Street West on Saturday.

• A 21-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for driving under the influence on the 1100 block of State Avenue on Saturday.

• A 52-year-old Dickinson man was arrested for actual physical control on the 3300 block of Fourth Avenue East around 1 a.m. on Sunday.

• A 20-year-old Dickinson woman was arrested for providing false information to law enforcement after giving officers a fake passport during a traffic stop on the 700 block of Main Street South on Sunday. The woman showed a passport from the Philippines.

• A $210 skateboard was reported stolen from the 1200 block of Mike Street on Monday.

Sydney Mook

Sydney Mook has been covering higher education at the Grand Forks Herald since May 2018. She previously served as the multimedia editor and cops, courts and health reporter at the Dickinson Press from January 2016 to May 2018.  She graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science in three and half years in December 2015. While at the USD, she worked for the campus newspaper, The Volante, as well as the television news show, Coyote News. She also interned at South Dakota Public Broadcasting and spent the summer before her senior year interning in Fort Knox for the ROTC Cadet Summer Training program.
