Blotter: 3 DUIs reported over the weekend

• A 59-year-old man from Palm Beach, Fla., was arrested Friday for allegedly driving under the influence on Ninth Avenue West.

• About $400 in cash was reported missing from the 200 block of Second Avenue in Gladstone on Saturday. The caller said the money was left on a laundry machine and when they went back it was gone. There are no suspects.

• A 34-year-old Dickinson woman was cited for allegedly driving under the influence on the 500 block of Villard Street on Saturday.

• Batteries were reportedly stolen from a garage door opener on the 2500 block of Dakota Boulevard on Monday. There are no suspects.

• An unidentified male allegedly stole about $130 worth of items from Walmart on Monday evening. The case remains under investigation.

• A 29-year-old Dickinson man was arrested Monday for allegedly driving under the influence near the 500 block of South Main Street.

Sydney Mook

Sydney Mook has been covering higher education at the Grand Forks Herald since May 2018. She previously served as the multimedia editor and cops, courts and health reporter at the Dickinson Press from January 2016 to May 2018.  She graduated from the University of South Dakota with a bachelor's degree in journalism and political science in three and half years in December 2015. While at the USD, she worked for the campus newspaper, The Volante, as well as the television news show, Coyote News. She also interned at South Dakota Public Broadcasting and spent the summer before her senior year interning in Fort Knox for the ROTC Cadet Summer Training program.
