MINOT, N.D. -- Two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun, entered a northwest Minot residence about 11 a.m. Tuesday, confronted a resident there and demanded "stuff," according to police.
After ransacking and taking a number of items from the home, including several guns, the two men searched a backyard shed before fleeing from the scene.
Although the resident was shaken by the brazen daylight incident no one was harmed, including an 8-month-old child who was in the home. Minot police immediately began a search for the suspects but no arrests had been made as of lateTuesday.
The robbers reportedly stated they had been watching the house for several days prior to making their armed entrance. Based on statements made at the scene and the actions of the perpetrators, it was apparent they knew where the firearms were stored. They wrapped the firearms in a blanket in order to carry them away.
Minot police continue to investigate and are seeking public assistance from anyone who may have seen the two men, the vehicle they were driving or any other information regarding the robbery.
