Former Fargo-area man sentenced for sex acts with Nebraska teen

Nicollas Troy Johnson

LINCOLN, Neb. — A former Harwood, N.D., man was sentenced in federal court in Nebraska to seven years in prison for transporting a minor across state lines for the purpose of engaging in sexual activity.

Nicollas Troy Johnson, 25, was sentenced Friday, Oct. 5, in Lincoln.

According to court records:

In July 2017, the Beatrice (Neb.) Police Department was notified of a 14-year-old female runaway who had been in contact with someone over Facebook.

An investigation led authorities to Johnson’s home in Harwood, north of Fargo, but the girl could not be found.

The girl was later found in a Fargo hotel, and Johnson was located and arrested.

Both the girl and Johnson told investigators that they had engaged in sexual activity at Johnson’s home, court records stated.
