UPDATE: Inmate arrested after escaping from Bismarck prison

BISMARCK — An inmate has been arrested Saturday after walking away from a Bismarck prison Friday night, Nov. 2.

At 8:55 p.m. Friday, the North Dakota Highway Patrol was notified that Devin Duane Wiedrich, 25, walked away from the Missouri River Correctional Center. Wiedrich was incarcerated for possession of meth, burglary, violation of a protection order and driving under suspension, according to a press release.

Wiedrich was taken into custody at approximately 7:10 a.m. Saturday, the release said. He is being held at Burleigh Morton County Detention Center on an additional charge of Escape.
